We fight poverty with love Image

We fight poverty with love

By providing programs that serve the body, mind and soul, The Salvation Army helps alleviate the symptoms of poverty - and works to address the root issues that cause it.

46.7 million Americans live below the poverty line. 60 million more live one crisis away.

Sadly, children raised in poverty are 32% more likely to remain there than their more fortunate peers.

We get that you might need help.  Scroll down to see the list of services you may qualify for.

We are here to feed, shelter, assist and equip those in need.

Come visit us Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm at 1235 N. 4th St. to receive services. We want to help.

Poverty doesn't have to be permanent. The Salvation Army helps those in need to overcome poverty through a variety of programs.

Food Assistance
We have several programs to offer food assistance for those struggling to purchase groceries.  Visit us to see if you qualify for an Emergency Food Box, TEFAP Box, CSFP Box or Weekend Bag.

Utility Assistance
We help struggling families and individuals avoid falling into the cycle of crisis by supplementing their income with utility payments. Check with our Social Services Director to see if you qualify for utility assistance.

Clothing and Gas Vouchers
We understand that sometimes things don't go as planned.  In certain emergency cases we are able to provide gas vouchers.  We are also able to provide vouchers for clothing for individuals and families that are in need.

Seasonal Assistance
During certain times of the year there is assistance available to meet a specific seasonally based need. Seasonal assistance can consist of help with our Winter Coat giveaway, a community Thanksgiving Meal, home delivered Thanksgiving meals for Homebound Individuals, Christmas food boxes, as well as toys for children in need at Christmas.
